Jean Paul Gaultier thought immortalizing Amy Whinehouse with his clothes would be a great tribute to her, however, Amy’s family has other thoughts on the matter.

Mitch Whinehouse did not find the JP Gaultier show flattering or thoughtful:

We’re proud of her influence on fashion, but find black veils on models smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste.

I don’t think JP meant any harm but I can see where Whinehouse’s family is coming from. However, I think that they should try to understand where each other are coming from and let bygones be bygones. I agree with Mitch Whinehouse fully on one thing, I think JP should donate some $$ to the Amy Whinehouse foundation. It’s the right thing to do.
